All-rounder Darren Sammy believes he will be back playing for Notts Outlaws in the T20 Blast, despite tasting defeat to Birmingham Bears.
He said: “We didn’t score enough runs and when you have a shortened chase, ten runs an over with nine wickets in hand you back yourself to get it, as they did.
“It is a disappointing end to my stay with the Outlaws but I have really enjoyed playing with the boys in the T20Blast. I just want to thank them and the club for giving me the chance to help win them some games and entertain the fans.
“When I came here I said I wanted to entertain and help them to be successful. They are a good bunch of lads and good cricketers and we are still third in the group so I have no doubt that I will be back because I have full confidence that they will qualify.”
