Cycling: Coop-Mann is perfectly average for Retford Wheelers

Last Sunday’s Retford Wheelers speed judging contest toured the villages of Clayworth, Wiseton, Mattersey, and Sutton cum Lound.

Cyclists had to ride at an average speed without devices.

The winner was Andrew Coop-Mann who finished exactly on target with an average speed of 16mph.

Second was Paul Austin, just 0.14 mph faster than his target speed and third was Luke Storey who was 0.18 faster than his target.

Other results: 4th Chris Dand, 5th Tony Siveter, 6th David and Sarah Jarvis (tandem) and 7th Terry Austin.

Sunday’s club run will be to Newark (45-55 miles).
