Worksop crowned Bassetlaw champions

The Central Avenue men needed three points to finish ahead of rivals Farnsfield, from their visit to Anston on Saturday.

Chad Keegan and Vipinlal Manikoth both came through with vital half centuries, in Worksop’s total of 188, with Anston taking all 10 wickets.

In reply, the hosts could only make 139 before being dismissed, Keegan with 4 for 55 and Dave Hancock taking 4 for 26 to give Worksop a 49-run victory.

Worksop’s return to the Notts Premier is their first since 1999.
