All three of the area’s Bassetlaw Cricket League Championship sides had to settle for weather draws on Saturday, as rain disrupted play.

At Ordsall, 12 points stayed with Ordsall Bridon as they made 237 for 6 against Clipstone, and play was halted with Clipstone on 167 for 6.

In Ordsall’s innings, James Brice was unbeaten on 67 runs, and Tim Ward carried his bat on 58.

With the ball, Tim Miles took 3 for 43.

Retford gained nine points from their rain affected draw at home to Worksop.

The visitors made 213 for 7, as Edward Tofts took 4 for 25 for Retford.

With the bat, the Cricket Field Lane men made 108 for 6 before the weather had its say.

North Wheatley with Leverton took 12 points from their weather draw with Anston.

Dwight Thomas top scored with 73 runs in North Wheatley with Leverton’s 256 for 9.

Anston had made 180 for 5 when play was stopped.

Division Two side Ordsall Bridon II lost to Mansfield and Pleasley at Chesterfield road, by seven wickets.

Retford’s second team drew with Bawtry at the Memorial Ground, as Mark Waterfield was unbeaten on 37 runs.
