Rain washes hits Notts v Middlesex morning session

Only six overs were possible on the final morning of the LV= County Championship game between Nottinghamshire and Middlesex at Trent Bridge.

Although a prompt start was possible, rain forced the two sides off, shortly before 11.30, with Middlesex having progressed from their overnight total of 7 for 0 to 14 without loss.

Nightwatchman and first innings half centurion James Harris was unbeaten on four, whilst Sam Robson was somewhat fortunate to reach 10 not out after being dropped at second slip by Steven Mullaney off the bowling of Jake Ball, at 12 for 0.

When the persistent drizzle came, the umpires decided to call an early lunch for 12.40.
