They travelled to Cuckney, where upon being asked to bat first, they were blown away inside 27 overs for just 54.

Trent Lawford took 3-27 and Lewis Bramley 6-24 as they bowled unchanged.

Bramley’s haul included a hat-trick.

Cuckney completed the formalities in the 13th over for the loss of one wicket.

As a result of Ordsall’s pointless outing, Farnsfield had a chance to take the relegation battle into the final round of fixtures.

But they went out, not with a bang, but a whimper.

Playing host to Plumtree, who chose to bat first, Farnsfield saw the openers put on 65, with Hassan Azad hitting 30.

From there, the home side chipped away with regular wickets, as Plumtree fell away to 168 all out.

Sam Wood taking 4-43 and Daniel Mather 3-57.

Glen Read was to destroy any lingering Farnsfield hopes however, claiming 6-20 as the hosts slumped to 48 all out in the 22nd over.
