Levy fell for 53, but with Dominic Brown finishing on 50 not out, Richard Stroh’s 3 for 58 proved not enough.

Plumtree stay second, but slip a further three points back after they could only secure the better of a drawn game at Attenborough.

After being asked to bat, Plumtree’s Storey brothers took the game by the scruff of the neck, adding 188 for the second wicket.

Nottinghamshire Academy climbed to 6th in the table despite going down to a five wicket defeat at Radcliffe-on-Trent.

The home side had their visitors bat first, reducing them to 57 for 4 as only Jake Libby (30) of the top five was able to put up any resistance.

The lower order were able to flourish however, Simon Webster top scored with 43 and Tom Keast added 42 as the final total reached 233 for 9.

James Marshall’s 3 for 49 led the way as six bowlers shared the wickets.

Radcliffe’s reply was built on three solid partnerships of more than 60 runs.

Ross Carnelley (30) added 66 for the second wicket with Ben Carr, who then put on 67 with Rob Sutton (44) before he fell for 65.

Scott McNeill (33) later added 59 for the second wicket with Martin Weightman, who would go on to buttress the innings, making 67.

After losing a couple of early wickets, a 56 run stand between Liam Andrews (40) and James Marsh steadied things, while with Paul van den Heuvel and James Brice in partnership a win looked possible.

With the partnership worth 97, van den Heuvel fell for 58 and those hopes of a win faded. Brice closed on 45 not out as Bridon made 227 for 6 to claim a draw.
