Morton suffer 46-run defeat

Lincoln Sunday Premier

Lindum 184 for 8

Morton 138 all out

Morton suffered a 46 run defeat, despite three bright individual performances on Sunday.

There were four wickets apiece for both Chris Needham and James Cooper, and 74 runs for Matt Gleadell, but he was the only batsman to offer any resistance to the Lindum attack.

Opening bowler Cooper had Lindum in trouble at 20 for 4.

The Lindum opener was dropped by Needham very early in his innings which proved costly as he went on to score 60.

The middle order rallied and rebuilt the innings to take the score to 184 for 8.

Morton made 138 in reply, despite the efforts of Gleadell, and they went down to a 46-run loss.
