Former Warwickshire captain Westwood is Bassetlaw Umpires guest

Former Warwickshire captain and current opening batsman Ian Westwood will be the Bassetlaw Umpires Association guest speaker on 3rd January.

The event takes place at the Cuckney Cricket Centre at 2.30pm on 3rd January.

Born in Birmingham, Westwood, who made his first-class debut in 2003, has made 130 first class appearances scoring 6,526 runs at an average of 33.12 including 13 centuries, 35 half centuries and has held 73 catches.

He was awarded his county cap in 2008 and skippered the side in 2009 and 2010.

Warwickshire have made 2015 his benefit season.

Everyone is invited along to what should be an interesting afternoon.
