Maddy will regale the assembled umpires at Cuckney Cricket Centre with tales of his time representing England in test matches and one day internationals.

He was the very first player in the world to notch 1,000 runs in Twenty/20 cricket.

He has been involved in three County Championship winning teams, Leicester in 1996 and 1998 and Warwickshire in 2012.

In addition to this he won the Twenty/20 trophy with Leicester in 2004 and 2006.

Maddy also captained Warwickshire back to Division One in 2008 as champions.

But it was the introduction of Twenty/20 cricket gave him a new lease of life and he was without question one of the most successful at this form of the game.

All interested parties are welcome for the event, which starts at 2.30pm, and promises to be an interesting afternoon.
