They trail leaders Bawtry by two points, with both sides having played six matches.

Tim Smith jnr top scored with 42 runs as Worksop were dismissed for 145 in the 40th over. Ross Wicks (19), Harry Glaves (16), Isaac Bailey (15) and Harry Taylor (13) offered support with the bat, while James Lea, Toby Roberts and Chris Hearn each took three wickets apeice for the hosts.

In response, Lea & Roses reached a winning 146-6 in the 38th over.

Harry Taylor dismissed Jimmy Purdy for a duck and William Lobley for 13 as Worksop began brightly with the ball. Lea also went without scoring, dismissed by Arron Armitage, Chris Hearn adding 10 before being bowled by Harry Glaves.

Opener Chris Needham was more stubborn, reaching 53 before being caught by Smith off Harry Glaves' delivery. By then Lea & Roses were on 126-5. Lee Mardle notched 26 runs before becoming Taylor's third victim of the day, but an unbeaten 10 from Daniel Clay saw the hosts to victory.

Worksop host Clumber Park on Saturday while the Seconds travel to Rockware and Thirds entertain Langwith.

On Saturday the Seconds secured a five-wicket victory at home to Ordsall Bridon.

Lee Edmondson took four for 31 as the visitors were dismissed for 110.

Worksop posted 106-5, meeting their revised target of 87 thanks to Tom Ducey (33), Edmondson (32) and Oshanda Munasinghe (11 not out),
