The Lincs County darts team are returning to a new home in Gainsborough, for at least the next two and a half years.

The side will feature at the Blues Club on North Street in the town, after their base at Rileys was shut.

A club spokesman welcomed the chance to come back to Gainsborough, and saidthe move would benefit the town.

“This is a great opportunity to bring people from all over England, Scotland and Wales to the town of Gainsborough and much needed trade.”

The darts stars will play no less than 15 prestigious events throughout the season, including the World Masters, the England Masters, Gold Cup, Superleague play-offs and county matches.

Lincs darts will play their first home county match on Saturday 13th April at 12pm.

The A team will perform on the Sunday at 11am, including county captain Paula Jacklin in her home town.

Lincs currently sit top of the table, with London chasing them as the title race hots up.

Local lady Jacklin told the Gainsborough Standard: “I have no doubt Lincs darts will win the league and get promoted to Division One.”

“Our Ladies B team are a very young side, with three of the ladies under 19 years, but they’ll be fine up there, they’re used to lots of pressure.”

Also appearing on the Sunday will be Tammy Montgomery who took the national average with her performance three weeks ago, with 25.78.

Montgomery beat all other ladies in counties throughout England, Scotland and Wales to take the average.

Spectators are welcome to attend both days play at the Blues Club, with a fee of £3 gaining admission for the whole weekend.
