College boys win Notts hockey title

WORKSOP College Under 18 boys hockey team clinched a county championship with three wins and a draw.

They were held 0-0 by Nottingham High School before convincing wins over Toothill, 1-0, West Bridgford, 3-0, and Arnold, 5-0.

The school has tasted plenty of success on the hockey field in recent times, thanks to excellent facilities – including two floodlit astroturf pitches – and the coaching of Trevor Franse.

He runs a coaching course during the summer holidays and pupils from all schools are welcome to attend.

Contact Trevor on 01909 537100 or visit www.worksopcollege.notts.sch.uk for more information.
