Clowne's Helen Worsfold impresses

Clowne Road Runner's Helen Worsfold took on her first 24 hour event at the Hardcastle 24.

Tackling an undulating 5km loop, Helen finished as second Lady after covering 53 miles.

raham Worsfold was first home for the club finishing sixth in 41:17 followed by David Hazelton 45:47, Paul Sadler 46:03, Chris Lane 46:39, Steve Hattersley 50:30 and SJ Massingham 56:40.

Elsewhere the Holymoorside 10k saw Jordan Street finish 4th in 38:27 followed by Paul Sadler 44:50, Louise Lowe 46:20 and 2nd Lady, and Michelle Needham 53:32.

Parkruns remain a popular weekend event for the club with Mark Baldwin achieving a new PB at Mansfield parkrun finishing second and first in age category in 19:46. Graham Worsfold travelled further afield to Halifax parkrun where he finished 1st in 19:06.

Carsington 7, a 7.76 mile race around the scenic Carsington Resevoir, saw Darren King take second place and 1st in age category in a time of 44:56 closely followed by Jordan Street in 47:22 and Julie King in 1:08:12.

The club’s latest Grand Prix event was the North Lincs Half Marathon, a flat and fast course for those looking for a PB as well as claiming Grand Prix points.

First home was Dan Page in 1:14:46 followed by Lewis Banton 1:19:45, Peter Twigg 1:21:52 PB, Paul Sadler 1:31:28, Nick Fowler 1:34:57, Mark Baldwin 1:37:50 PB, Karen Shipman 1:43:41, Ian Brookes 1:50:10, Suzanne Leusby 1:56:21 and Jim McIntosh 2:11:07.
