Chloe is outstanding in her age group

FOLLOWING the completion of the 61st Lincs County Age Groups the finals standings for the BAG Cats (British Age Group Categories) were released with 21 swimmers from Gainsborough Dolphins featuring.

The points are awarded over five categories (50m events, 100m, Form, Distance and Individual Medley), and leading the way for Gainsborough Dolphins is nine-year-old Chloe Huddart who achieved a mammoth 1067 points to achieve pole position in her age group.

The Blyton-based swimmer, pictured, claimed six gold (50m butterfly, 100m and 200m I/M, 200m freestyle and breaststroke and 400m freestyle) and four silvers (50m backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle and 200m backstroke) from her 10 events during the Lincs Age Groups.

Chloe heads a very talented nine-year-old girls squad within the club, with six girls placing inside the top 15 in the county under this award system.

Returning with his best performance at the Age Groups was 11-year-old William Walmsley who secured top five positions in all eight events in which he competed.

Claiming two silver medals in the 50m and 200m butterfly, he narrowly missed the podium positions with fourth places in the 50m backstroke, 100m I/M and 400m freestyle and fifth places in the 50m freestyle, 200m freestyle and I/M events.
