Cherry in bowls final

Elsham met Cherry Willingham at home in the second leg of their Bishop Norton Short Mat Bowls League Cup Semi-final and performed quite well in this match, winning 47-22, but Cherry Willingham had a lead of 48 shots from the first leg, so won 92-69 and will now meet Barnetby Red in the final at South Kelsey.

In the Southern Division Middle Rasen Drax beat Reepham 9-1 at home, Ingham managed a 6-4 home win against Cherry Willingham who themselves next played Middle Rasen Tupholme and won 7-3.

Northern Division leaders Bottesford Brown had a 10-0 home win against Scawby Blue, while nearest challengers Trentside got two more big home wins against Bottesford Green and Perry’s, both 10-0. Hibaldstow beat Elsham 10-0 at home and had a good 10-0 victory, but then were well beaten 9-1 away to South Kelsey Red, while Scawby Orange had a welcome 8-2 home win against Waddingham.
