Blues Club Dynamics find life hard in Division One, but show signs of improvement in their latest defeat

Blues Club Dynamics are finding it tough in Division One of the Gainsborough and District Table Tennis League.

However, although they were hammered 10-0 by Blitz Aardvarks this week, they are now showing signs of finding their feet as a few of the rubbers could have gone either way.

John Gazeley returned to league action for Aardvarks after a couple of years’ absence.

In Division Two leaders Blues Club Kestrels struggled against Blitz Eagles but managed to scrape a 6-4 win.

Rob Bunton, a new signing to the league for Eagles, did well to win two of his rubbers and won the doubles with Josh Croft.

Methodist Batmen are just two points behind Kestrels after beating Blues Challengers.

At the other end of the table Willingham Wizards put up a good fight against Blues Knights, who won 7-3 .

Blitz Falcons remain bottom but they fought hard in their 8-2 defeat by clubmates Dynamos.

All players should note that James Wynne is captain of the Blitz Aardvarks team for the remainder of the season and therefore should alter their handbooks accordingly.

His phone numbers, if needed, can be obtained from the league secretary.

Anyone wishing to start or return to playing table tennis can do so by contacting the league secretary on 01427 610440 or Paul Johnson of the Blitz Club on 07986 044680.
