Huge perch have also been putting in an appearance with specimens over the 4lb mark being taken on lob worm and prawns.

Day tickets are available on the bank.

As the club scene starts to drop off, I’ll be covering winter match leagues and reporting on the very latest from our local specimen hunters with plenty of tips, tricks and local venues for you to try.

Shipman’s a real favourite with black or orange patterns best, either the foamy version or the original.

Daddies still good as are small Boobies or Muddlers, pulled through the wave.

Dave McGeever and John Wood have been the top duo of the week landing 61 fish in two visits, nearly all falling to dry Shipman’s.

They also had a £20 tagged fish each so all in all they shared a cracking week.
