Ben’s GB spot is confirmed

Anston cycle star Ben Swift has had his Team GB funding confirmed for 2013.

The Team Sky rider was named by British Cycling in the men’s endurance category.

GB performance director Dave Brailsford said the roster was put together with the Olympics in mind.

“Following another successful Olympic year, the management and coaches are keen for the momentum to continue as our focus switches towards Rio 2016.”

“We continue with a strong squad of podium riders, all of whom we believe have medal potential for 2016.”
