Annual five mile time trial

The course starts at Sutton on Trent on the old Great North Road, and heads in a northerly direction to finish just south of Tuxford.

This is a handicapped event whereby all competitors receive a time allowance according to their age.

The winner on handicap, will be awarded the Simon Antill Trophy at the club’s annual dinner and prize presentation at the Markham Moor Hotel later in the day.

All competitors, timekeepers and marshals should meet in the public car park in Tuxford for 9.15am from where they will all ride as a group to the time keeper at Sutton on Trent for a 10am start.

Last weekend’s club ride was a well attended outing to the popular destination of Bilsthorpe.

The outward journey was a circuitous and hilly route byway of Upton, Tuxford, Laxton and Kneesall.

The return was a more direct way back into Retford for lunch time.
