Spells, scales and pumpkin pals at the Tropical Butterfly House

Spooky surprises and mystical mayhem await this half-term holiday at the Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife Conservation Park near Worksop.

From Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, join in the enchanted Witches and Wizards Halloween Trail and discover the wildlife park at its autumnal best.

Tread carefully along the trail and conjure up your inner witch or wizard to complete the challenges and graduate from the park’s School of Magic (and Mischief).

Can you spot the Wizard Extraordinaire and his friendly companion Dumbledore Raptor making jokes and casting spells along the way?

Wander the woodland walk, and pass magical dragons and eerie owls to peek inside the witch's cabin – if you dare.

There’s everything from a creepy colouring competition to a monstrous mix of fun indoor activities for youngsters including Witches Hat Hoopla, Monster Mash Bean Bag Bash, and Wizard Wind Up Racing! Get a spooky family selfie with wickedly giant friends.

The excitement continues with the Magical School of Curious Creatures Show, featuring animal antics and free-flying birds, or join the wayward wizard for his broomstick training masterclass.

Families can take a terrifyingly fun tractor-trailer ride through the haunted grounds, brave the maze of frights in the haunted house, encounter monstrous minibeasts during keeper talks, brave the Dino Trail and let off steam in the play park with its spooktacular sandpits, zany zipwires and ride-on cars.

Afterwards, creep over to Lottie’s Coffee Lounge where you can sink your fangs into a coffin-inspired Spooky Afternoon Tea (must be pre-booked) and enjoy wickedly good Halloween drinks and sweet treats.

If you are visiting the wildlife park this autumn, ask about a Visit and Save Card and unlock savings on return visits for up to a year, including Magical Christmas Experience dates.
