Pause for Thought

I heard recently of a couple who told their grown-up children that they were disappointed in them both.

It’s very sad and must have been devastating to the children.
It seems to me that the parents were concerned with performance.
If the children had done well, they would’ve been a credit to their parents and achieved something.
Perhaps the parents didn’t actually know their children very well or were unable to make allowances.
God our Father isn’t like that. He is never disappointed in us - he always works with what we can cope with. He knows us thoroughly.
