Coffee fans can take advantage of some cheap deals at Costa this month, thanks to the UK government’s new Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The discount initiative will see diners able to enjoy cut price meals at restaurants, cafes and pubs throughout August, as part of the government’s efforts to boost the economy after lockdown.

32p coffee

Costa is participating in the new scheme, and there are some huge savings to be made throughout the month, with coffee priced from just 32p.

As part of Eat Out to Help Out, diners can receive 50 per cent off meals and non-alcoholic drinks (up to the value of £10 per head) at participating eateries from 3 to 31 August. However, the offer will only apply on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The discount means that if you take your own cup to Costa - which grants you 25p off - you will be able to purchase a filter coffee for the bargain price of 32p, rather than the usual £1.

But, if filter coffee isn’t your thing, the deal extends to all items on the menu, including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, as well as food. A croissant will only set you back 59p on certain days in August, and together with a coffee it will cost just 91p.

To find which restaurants are taking part near you, you can search using a postcode finder on the Gov.uk website. Simply enter your postcode and hit search to find all of the businesses nearby that are running the scheme.
