Morrisons basil, parsley and other herbs could be contaminated with listeria - here’s the full list of recalled products
Morrisons is recalling several of its Market Street Living Herbs, due to concerns that the products could contain the harmful bacteria, listeria monocytogenes.
The supermarket giant is recalling the products only as a precautionary measure, as it has not been confirmed whether all of the products are contaminated.
Point of sale notices will now appear in all Morrisons stores selling these products, to warn customers.
Which products are being recalled?
The products being recalled are all from the Market Street Living Herbs brand.
The following herbs, purchased between 3 May and 9 May 2020, are now being recalled:

How harmful is listeria monocytogenes?
Listeria monocytogenes is a pathogenic bacteria which can cause an infection of listeriosis.
Symptoms of infection listeriosis can be similar to the flu. This includes high temperatures and chills, muscle aches or pains, nausea and vomiting, as well as diarrhoea.
However, some people can be more vulnerable to a listeria infection than others.
Those who are more susceptible to getting infected are people with weakened immune systems, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies younger than one month old and people over 65 years old.
Listeriosis can even cause death in particularly vulnerable groups.
What should I do if I bought the recalled products?
If you purchased any of the recalled Market Street Living Herbs from a Morrisons store, you must not eat them.
Instead, you can return the items to any Morrisons supermarket, while making an essential shopping trip, and you will receive a full refund. You do not need to present a receipt to receive a refund for this product.
Morrisons has released a statement about the recall, saying, “No other products are affected by this issue.
“We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
