Police investigate after elderly woman injured by dog in Ranskill
and live on Freeview channel 276
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police are investigating the incident which happened at around 8pm on Saturday, March 27.
An elderly couple were walking their dog near the train tracks in the village when a grey coloured dog, similar to a greyhound, ran towards them before it knocked the woman to the ground.

Hide AdThe woman suffered a broken wrist, shattered knee cap and facial injuries.
Witnesses said the dog was with a woman who was wearing a bright pink and orange anorak and a head torch. She was with a girl believed to be aged between seven and 10-years-old.
After the incident, the incident the woman and child, who are believed to live locally, called the dog and left the area. They walked from Station Road, along an alleyway which leads onto Cherry Tree Close.
