I am very disappointed to read that Bassetlaw has come 352 out of 358 authorities in England with a recycling rate of only 23 per cent.
Compare this with Rushcliffe at 25 per cent and a rate of 54 per cent; Broxtowe 43 per cent; Notts CC 43 per cent, and Mansfield 41 per cent. Admittedly, Newark and Sherwood came in at 332 with a rate of 26 per cent.
Surely we can do better! Is it down to BDC’s commingled blue bin collection or are the general public apathetic. If Rushcliffe can do it so can we.
I think a bit of networking between the two parties wouldn’t come amiss.
