No matter what time of year it is, I’m continually impressed by the Bassetlaw parks and recreational department’s efforts to brighten up our towns such as Worksop and Retford. Yes, King’s Park in Retford must be one of the most beautiful in the county, if not in the country. Recently, following heavy downpours, two council workers were busy weeding the flower beds outside the old library building on Memorial Avenue in Worksop. “You’re doing a grand job, it’s lovely to see such bright and vivid colours cheering us all when everything may seem doom and gloom.” I said.
Keep up the good work lads.
