Ambulance service needs to be local

ON the 23rd August at 3.30am aged 56 and with no previous history of heart problems, I had a massive heart attack.

The only reason I survived the last 22 years was the prompt attention of my husband and the quick response of the ambulance. If I had to wait for one from Kings Mill I would not have survived! I cannot imagine an ambulance lurking around the corner at 3am. In these circumstances time is essential.

Why do we have to keep fighting for such basic and fundemental health care in the 21st Century?

With the on-going help of my GP and my family, I have had another 22 years so far, only because of the quick response of the ambulance service locally.
