Yorkshire Ambulance Service appoints new board member

A new non-executive director of Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust has been appointed.

John Nutton has been given a two-year term.

He joined the Trust Board in October 2013 in a Designate Non-Executive Director capacity.

He has a strong background in corporate finance and experience in financial management, audit and consultancy.

Non-executive appointments to NHS Trusts are subject to the Code of Practice of the Commissioner for Public Appointments.

Mr Nutton is entitled to receive £6,157 per annum.

He succeeds Elaine Bond who spent four years in the role.

Mr Nutton said: “It is a challenging time for the whole of the NHS and whilst there are undoubtedly exciting developments to be progressed there will also be some difficult decisions to be made.”
