The ‘early Christmas present’ comes courtesy of Worksop Business Forum, in partnership with Sharpe Group and Bassetlaw Council.

It is hoped that the wi-fi will enhance shopper and visitor experience of the town centre, making Worksop a modern meeting space and communal hub.

Phillip Jackson, chairman of Worksop Business Forum, said: “I’m delighted to announce that free town centre Wi-Fi has arrived in Worksop.

“We are launching it as an early Christmas present to the people of this great town. I hope shoppers and businesses alike enjoy the benefits free access to the internet can bring.”

Jo White, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: “Free Wi-Fi is a fantastic addition to Worksop and I am sure will help attract visitors and shoppers to our town centre.

“Working in partnership with Worksop Business Forum, the council is again showing its commitment to make Worksop a thriving, modern town.”
