Worksop: ‘Teenfest’ at the Canch on Saturday

Youngsters can kick-off their summer in style this weekend at a summer festival in Worksop for free.

The ‘Teenfest’, Saturday 11th July, 12noon-7pm, at the Canch, will include music, dance, sport and art activities for people aged between 10 and 19.

Coun Liz Plant, committee vice chairman for children and young people’s services, at Notts County Council said: “There are number of festivals which will take place during the summer holidays across the county and there promises to be something for everyone.”

“There will be a wide range of adrenaline fuelled activities, music and craft opportunities and the chance for young people to showcase their talents, meet new people and have lots of fun.”

“The events are organised by the county council’s youth service and there will be support from a number of organisations who will have display stands at the festivals.”

“Our summer youth festivals are a great opportunity to promote the achievements of many young people and highlight the work that goes on within our youth service.”

There is also a ‘Skatefest’ taking place on Saturday 18th July, 12noon-5pm, at Retford Park, entry is free.
