Kalyen Askew, 18, of Cusworth Way, Worksop, pleaded guilty to taking the cash from the chemist on Bridge Street between 1st March 2014 and 7th June 2014.

The Magistrates said that it was serious because it was a ‘breach of trust.’

The court heard that Askew had been badly influenced by ex-partner and was ‘vulnerable’ at the time.

Askew was sentenced to 26 weeks in jail, suspended for 12 months and 12 months supervision.

She was also ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work and pay £500 contribution costs.
