Worksop: Teen kicked and punched police officers
Jordan Hall, 18, of Mary Street, Rhodesia, Worksop, admitted assaulting PC Watson and PC Cartwright on 20th June at his mother’s house.
In the early hours of the morning police officers were called to the address after they received an abandoned 999 call.

On arrival, officers were told that Hall had assaulted his father so proceeded to try and restrain him in the rear garden.
The court heard how Hall did not know why he was being arrested and in frustration lashed out by punching PC Watson several times in the chest and arms and then kicked out at PC Cartwright as they tried to put him in handcuffs.
However, it emerged that Hall had returned home to the address to defend his mother who he thought had been assaulted by his father.
In mitigation, the court also heard that Hall had only ‘kicked out’ at PC Cartwright because the officer was ‘sat on top of him’ and that his legs were the only part of his body that he could move.

No serious injuries were caused to either of the police officers.
The original allegation of assault against Hall by his father was later dropped and not taken any further.
The case was adjourned until 23rd July.
