Students from the Donna Pressley Dance Academy have raised almost £5,000 for charity from their latest show.

The students performed the production Shine at Outwood Academy Portland.

Almost 200 students took part aged from three to 73.

The production was in aid of Cancer Research UK and raised a massive £4,980.84.

“The children and adults all had a fabulous experience and all were proud to have raised a such a large amount for the charity,” said Donna.

Donna also went on to thank every student and their parents for their dedication and support throughout the year.

The academy also received a letter of thanks from Andria Brown, honorary secretary of the Worksop local committee of Cancer Research UK.

“We are most grateful to you for putting together these shows,” she said.

Classes are held at the Old Station Master’s House at Worksop station each night.
