Legendary rockers Status Quo will be rockin’ all over Clumber Park this summer as they take to the stage for a headline slot.

The band say they can’t wait to perform to a packed park on Friday 15th August as part of Clumber Park Music Festival.

“This will be our only appearance in the East Midlands this year and we are really up for it already,” said Francis Rossi OBE, lead guitarist and vocalist with the Quo.

“Playing live is what Quo is all about and we just love being on stage in the open air. I don’t think we have ever played a National Trust gig before so it should be very special.”

The denim clad rock band have sold more than 118 million records worldwide and had 64 UK hits since 1968’s Pictures Of Matchstick Men hit number seven in the charts.

Revellers will get to hear timeless classics like Rockin All Over the World, Whatever You Want and the number one Down, Down.

There will also be tracks from the band’s new album Bula Quo!

Founder members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt will be joined on stage with keyboard player Andrew Brown, bassist John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and drummer Leon Cave.

Neil Butkeraitis from UK Events which is organising the festival says he expects Clumber Park to rock like never before when Quo take the stage.

“Bands don’t get much bigger than this. Status Quo can boast almost 50 years in the business and we are delighted to have them here for their first ever appearance at Clumber Park.”

“The band have an incredible following and we are looking forward to seeing them have a great time in the summer sunshine in August.”

The list of Status Quo achievements is endless - opening Live Aid in 1985, receiving the Brit Award in 1991 for Outstanding Contribution to the British Music Industry, performing in the presence of the Queen at Berlin’s prestigious Last Tattoo, and all the while raising thousands of pounds for charity.
