With a grant of £22,000 from Notts County Council, added to by £2,000 the school raised themselves, they have been able to modernise the building and build an all-weather outdoor classroom.

The outdoor classroom has created more space for them, allowing them to take on more two-year-old children.

Inside, they have moved and replaced the toilets and kitchen area and new carpets and flooring have been fitted throughout the pre-school.

They have also bought new equipment for their playground, including a mud kitchen, bug house and waterway set.

A spokesman said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Michael Lacey Joinery and Construction for carrying out the work for us.”

“We would also like to thank the parents, family members and local businesses who helped us raise the extra £2,000 we needed.”
