Worksop: Sparken Hill kids host special Mother’s Day breakfast

Children at Sparken Hill Academy in Worksop hosted a special Mother’s Day breakfast last week.

The mums tucked into warm croissants, hot cross buns and fruit salad before the kids then handed over their Mother’s Day cards they had made.

One parent said: “I’ve really enjoyed spending time with my son and having a special breakfast, it means the world to the children.”

Mums and carers later enjoyed a Mother’s Day lunch, organised by the Sparken Hill Community Team.

They enjoyed a roast dinner and pudding and the event was so popular the school has organised another lunch to accommodate all the families.

A school spokesman said: “We are always organising events and activities for our children and parents to take part in, for example, junk model making, cooking, jewellery making and many more.”
