Worksop set for Medieval tournaments in upcoming St. George’s Day celebration

Worksop town centre will be the site for 13th century tournaments, food displays, candle making and all things Medieval on St George’s day.

Worksop Business Forum and Bassetlaw District Council have teamed up to bring to bring the event to the town on Saturday, April 23.

Councillor Jo White, cabinet nember for Regeneration at Bassetlaw District Council, said: “We’ve teamed up with the Business Forum to put on some action-packed and historical events that celebrate England’s national day.

“There will be plenty of activities and demonstrations going on for all the family to enjoy throughout the afternoon and everyone is invited to come and join in the fun.”

Visitors are invited to wear Medieval fancy dress with prizes to be won for best child’s costume by registering at M&CO.
