Worksop: Scores contact Guardian as Priory parking outrage continues
Last week the Guardian reported how people parking at the shopping facility had received charges of up to £100 from ParkingEye for either waiting in the car park or entering the wrong registration number.
Since the story our readers have come forward in large numbers to tell us how disappointed they are.

Christine Scott wrote: “I definitely bought a ticket but couldn’t prove it - won’t be using that car park any more, it’s too expensive !”
Karen Woods posted: “I got a fine, which was cancelled on appeal.. I will not use the carpark now, choosing to walk into town which therefore limits what I can carry and what I spend, one loser Worksop Town Centre.”
Nicola Hall wrote: “Well I actually paid for a ticket but entered one letter wrong... This was at least a month ago so I hope it’s alright.”
In the last week the Guardian has also received telephone calls, letters and emails from readers who feel that the parking charges are unjust.

However not all of our readers came forward to criticise ParkingEye - the car park monitoring system which has been in place since February.
Keith Norbury wrote in his letter: “I visit the car park at least once a week and duly pay however I have seen on many occasions one person sat in the vehicle reading a newspaper whilst their partner goes off shopping, these people don’t pay and deserve getting fined. A car park is for parking not waiting!”
