THE headteacher of Worksop’s Valley School is to step down after 12 years in post, he has announced today (Thursday).
Brian Rossiter will hand over the reins to a new head when the school re-launches as an academy in September.
Mr Rossiter said now seemed the “appropriate time” to make the move after a fulfilling and challenging time in post.
“I have spent the last 12 years seeking to improve the quality of provision at Valley and across Bassetlaw. From achieving Technology College status for the school and initiating and delivering the Bassetlaw PFI project I believe I have achieved that aim,” he said.
“I finish my career as a leader of an extraordinary school with many happy memories of my time working with our students and local community.”
