With the Worksop half marathon and fun run just around the corner one of the organisers is hoping for good weather.
The event, now in its 34th year, is done by the Worksop Harriers, and on Sunday October 25 the streets will be lined to cheer on the 2,500 runners taking part.
Secretary and organiser Tony Jenks said: “This is an amazing event to have in the town and a major one too.
“A lot of people have got behind us now for so many years and it major event for Worksop.”
As well as the half marathon there will be a shorter fun run, aimed at all ages and abilities.
Both races starts and finishes on Newgate Street, adjacent to the Town Hall. The marathon course then leads out of town into the National Trust’s Clumber Park.
There will be 3 drinks stations and one sponge station located throughout the course. Drinks will also be provided at the finish.
Tony added: “There is always such a great atmosphere and runners come in fancy dress so as long as the weather stays dry i think it will be a great day for everyone.”
