Coun Pressley will be talking on the planning aspects of the proposals as set out in the attached scoping report for a proposed waste incinerator on the site of the old recycling Centre site on Shireoaks Road in Worksop, just off the A57.

A group spokesman said: “As this is a very large waste incinerator under the environmental impact assessment regulations, by law an initial scoping report has to be submitted to Notts County Council for comment before a formal application is made.”

“Worksop Against Incineration exists to inform local residents of the scoring rport and its contents, set up a petition and to develop concerns about this proposed incinerator potentially in our midst.”

“If and when an application is made hopefully by having already set up a very active group then we can mount a very effective campaign against the building of this very incinerator in Worksop.”

Please note that the meeting starts at 6.30pm and not the usual time of 7.30pm.
