Worksop: Proudly represented at London Marathon

Over 36,000 runners took part in the 26.2 mile course as every effort went into crossing the finishing line.

And there was certainly no ounce of effort left at the end of the day from our runners as they rightly collected their deserved medals.

Paul Scott, 35 of Watson Road, has raised £400 so far for Anthony Nolan - the UK’s blood cancer charity and bone marrow register-and he completed the race in three hours and 37 minutes.

Russel Dolby entered the London Marathon for the first ever time and he has raised over £600 for Breast Cancer Care.

It was a charity chosen by his friend Michelle Thompson who has recently been suffering from breast cancer and he ran it in a time of three hours and one minute.

Worksop Harriers member, Tim Doughty, 33, of Carlton Road, is close to raising £500 for the Aurora Well Being Centre.

He crossed the line in two hours and 59 minutes in his second London Marathon.
