Worksop: Prospect Junior School awarded Guardian Rose for helping Ellie
Dedicated staff at Prospect Junior School are a credit to their profession, according to one Worksop mum.
They go beyond the call of duty and make every effort to ensure that all children achieve success.
Which is why this week’s Guardian Rose - from House of Flowers in the Priory - has been awarded to everyone at the school.
Ellie Pike, 11, who has cerebral palsy, is moving on to St Giles School, Retford, in September and her mum, Michelle, 35, wanted to say thanks for everything they have done.
“The whole school and all the staff have worked very hard to make all children have a positive experience,” Michelle said.
“The most noticeable thing is how all the staff have gone that extra mile for Ellie.”
Michelle gave an extra-special mention to head teacher, Sue Osbourne, and teaching assistant, Harriet Skillen, for always being there for her daughter.
“They have been there for Ellie every single day of her school life and I just wanted them to know how grateful I am,” Michelle added.
“They have helped Ellie become the confident person that she is today.”
“It is sad that she is leaving such a good school but it also exciting that her next chapter is about to start.”
