The college wanted to help to raise awareness of homelessness in and around Worksop.

The college has also previously held fund-raisers for Hope, with activities such as, a homeless sleep out and a shoe box project for Christmas presents, for clients within Hope’s emergency accommodation hostel.

The morning consisted of laughter and conversations, as well as homemade cakes, including flapjack and Victoria sponge, with Rev Kate Bottley among the visitors.

Alan Diggles, Hope’s chief executive, said; “It says a great deal about North Notts College’s ethos and how it values working in partnership with community organisations like Hope, that they hold a coffee morning to help raise much needed money to help those in crisis.

“We operate the counties only directly accessible Emergency Accommodation Hostel, where someone needing a bed for the night can knock on our door.”

“Yet again, North Notts College have provided help and support for those in greatest need, and should be applauded for being at the grass roots of Bassetlaw.”
