Worksop: NHS careers opportunity for jobseekers

The event is taking place on Thursday 7th August at Notts County Council’s weekly work club session at Worksop Library.

Michelle Place, Widening Participation Project Lead for the NHS will be talking about the variety of roles the NHS has to offer, how and where to find them and what they are looking for in applications and interviews.

The NHS employs around 28,000 people in Notts - making it one of the county’s largest employers.

Coun Diana Meale, Chair of Economic Development Committee at Notts County Council, said: “The NHS has a reputation for being a very good organisation to work for and, as one of the county’s largest employers, there are regular vacancies in all kinds of jobs to suit all kinds of people.”

“This work club session will provide a great insight into what job opportunities are available, more about what it’s like to work for the NHS and give a chance to pick up some tips about what information to include in applications.”

“If you are unemployed or looking for a change in career, our work clubs are a good place to get support. They regularly host events with local employers and special sessions on all aspects of finding a job, as well as being a place to meet and share ideas with other people in the same position.”
