The Post Office has announced the opening of a new local service for Kilton, saying it will deliver improvements for its customers in the area.
The new service will operate from the existing Post Office branch at 45 Longfellow Drive, and is set to launch on Friday 3rd July.
Area manager Jim Doran said: “We’re making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect mail, and do their banking, because we know how important these services are to local residents.
“We’re confident this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
The branch will close on Wednesday 24th June for refurbishments including a new open plan counter.
Post Office services will then be available throughout the store’s opening hours: 7am to 7.30pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to 2pm on Sunday.
This means opportunities to access services will increase by 36 hours a week, making the branch more convenient for users to time their visit.
The branch will be offering a full range of options including special deliveries, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals.
Customers will also be able to use Post Office card accounts, send funds abroad via Moneygram, pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
While the branch is closed, customers are advised to use nearby alternatives at Prospect Hill shopping precinct or Victoria Square.
