Worksop: Multi-million pound Greencore expansion set to create up to 150 new jobs

Worksop’s growing food manufacturing industry is set for a boost after the convenience foods giant Greencore annnounced expansion plans that could see up to 150 new jobs created.

Bassetlaw District Council have approved the multi million pound investment, which will see Manton 110 at Manton Wood Business Park become a major food distribution hub- bringing 70 jobs to the area and a potential for 80 additional jobs in the future.

The additional facilities build on Greencore’s established presence in Worksop where they have been a large employer over the last fifteen years, highlighting the willingness of major companies to invest in the area.

Steve Evans, MD, Food to Go Convenience, at Greencore said:“We are pleased to be expanding our presence in the Worksop area.”

“Manton 110 with its strategic position next to a main Greencore manufacturing facility, and excellent transport links, will be a key facility in our continued expansion.”

Jo White, cabinet member for regeneration at Bassetlaw District Council said:“I am delighted that Greencore are expanding their business in Worksop.”
