Worksop motorcyclist left with ‘considerable injuries’ after colliding with car

A Worksop motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a car yesterday (Sunday).

The rider - a man in his thirties - was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Sheffield however his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene on Worksop’s Valley Road at about 11.30am - where photos showed multiple police cars, a large cordon and an air ambulance preparing to land.

Officers found the driver of the car involved with minor injuries however they were discharged from hospital the same day.

Police are now appealing for information to help with the investigation.

Inspector Neil Bellamy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a nasty collision in which a man has sustained some considerable injuries.

"We are currently investigating the circumstances of this crash and would like to speak to anyone who either saw what happened or who may have other information that can assist our investigation."
