Worksop: Man pleads guilty to possession of cannabis

A Worksop man has been given a conditional discharge after pleading guilty to being in possession of a Class B drug.

Daniel Hall, 28, of Gateford Road, was stopped by police in July and officers said he smelt strongly of cannabis.

Hall admitted being in possession of 22.9 grams of cannabis, along with scales and a grinder as well as £436 in cash.

Hall told police £400 was to pay his month’s rent and the rest was for him.

At Worksop Magistrates’ Court, as well as the conditional discharge, he was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
